CHC Team

Dr. Bitar is currently the Director of the Children's Heart Center and the Co-Director of the Congenital Heart Disease Genetics Program at the American University of Beirut, Associate Dean for External Medical Affairs, Professor of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, and Associate in Biochemistry. He established both the Children's Heart Center (CHC) at AUBMC and the Children’s Cardiac Registry Center in Lebanon.

Being a strategic thinker with reputation for inclusive management style to reach team goals, and dedicated healthcare executive with impressive record of progressively responsible management experience in clinical and non-clinical environments; Dr. Bitar and a group of world-renowned cardiologist’s surgeons and anesthesiologists leads a team dedicated to providing a high quality comprehensive and evidenced-based of care for children with heart disease.
