Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course: October 3 - December 5, 2019

Page Content

The Health and Wellness Center held another course of the "Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction" facilitated by qualified instructor of MBSR,  Mrs. Wedad Dallala Bakhache.

The MBSR program was founded at the Umass Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness by Jon Kabat-Zinn. It has more than 40 years of scientific research studies behind and is recognized throughout the world as the gold standard for mental & physical health in the field.

It is clinically proven that MBSR methodology and curriculum have positive impacts on well-being. It leads to measurable changes in brain regions associated with memory, sense of self, empathy, and stress as well as improving the immune systems in as little as 8 to 10 sessions.

This course teaches experientially specific skills and practices that can be incorporated into daily life to help break cycles of anxiety, stress, unhappiness and exhaustion.

"This is a must for anyone & everyone! These 8 weeks are life changing and positively transformative.  The ‘tools’ and the science behind them that we have learned to practice will remain with us and be constantly beneficial to living a more present and fulfilled life!" - Participant in MBSR course
