It is the mission of the Food Services Department at AUBMC to offer high quality food services by meeting the needs and expectations of its customers where high quality food services are offered to inpatients, staff and visitors.
Implementing our approach to service and quality requires the full commitment of our management as well as team members on site, and its success is our shared responsibility.
Food Services prepare and serve attractive and satisfying meals under high standards of sanitation for patients, visitors and staff. Food Services stay up-to-date on new techniques and technologies in the field of Food Services.

News on Current/Upcoming Events
The Food Services Department intends to launch a fully selective menu for all patients with new dishes with more variety.
Patients meal trays will be served via more
carriages assuring that meals reach patients at optimal temperatures.
Training of staff is a continuous process at the Food Services Department. The Food Services Department conducts quarterly training sessions for its staff (video films & power point presentations) that cover critical aspects of the food industry including but not limited to hygiene (personal and work place), administrative policies, food safety, personal safety and all the steps from food receiving till serving.
Records of such are kept in the files at the Food Services Department as well as the Human Resources Department

Hours of Operation
The hours of operation of the Food Services Department are as such:
Central Kitchen: All week days from 6:00 till 19:00 hours.
Cafeteria: All week days from:
06:30 till 11:00 hours
11:45 till 14:00 hours
17:00 till 19:00 hours
19:00 till 23:00 hours (sandwiches)
