Robotic Surgery Program: Obstetrics and Gynecology
Introduction
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Robotic Program at AUBMC, launched in July 2013, was established to provide patients with robotic assisted laparoscopy surgery (RALS) and offer them all the benefits of minimally invasive surgical techniques (i.e., less postoperative pain, less hospital stay, faster recovery, smaller abdominal incisions, etc).
The program has successfully performed numerous cases and has delivered strong outcomes and high patient satisfaction rates. The program boasts a dedicated team of surgeons with extensive expertise in RALS, and health care providers, including the nursing team, that together deliver on AUBMC’s commitment to provide cutting edge health care services to the people of Lebanon and the region.

Our Team
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Robotic Program at AUBMC is made up three surgeons and two scrub nurses who work on ensuring excellent preoperative counseling, intraoperative surgical techniques, and postoperative care.

All patients willing to undergo robotic surgery (where the technique is approved) are eligible for the program. This program can help through a preoperative consultation to establish and explain the surgery as well as post-surgery expectations.
